Since the beginning of the twentieth century, new horizons have opened for voice, thanks to Arnold Schönberg and his use of Sprechgesang whose Pierrot Lunaire is the first masterpiece. Today, composers aspire to push the limits of the instrument / voice. This is the case of the Polish composer and vocalist Agata Zubel in his Aphorisms by Czeslaw Milosz, and fellow Nobel Prize for Literature in 1980.
